RETRN TO HOMEPAGE>>>>>>
IOWA STATE FAIR--August 11-21, 2022.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (ESV) (Lamentations 3: 22,23)

I always make a beeline to the Agriculture Building to see the butter cow before the crowd gathers. Also, this year was an added bonus--a tribute to Music Man.
Next--the livestock barns. How Iowa is this?
Big bull--Albert 3042 lbs
Big boar--Pee-Wee- 1300 lbs.

Left: Midway at mid-day. All is calm at noon, but this casual crowd will take on a whole new personality when the sun goes down. Right: New this year--This bronze sculpture is appropriately placed outside the ag building in memory of former butter cow artist, Sara Duffy.

Left & above: The big guy fits in this vehicle--no horsepower--it is all manpower.
Right: I have eaten at Iowa Pork Producers many times. Yes- you meet a lot of new friends as you wait for an Iowa chop.
The best part of my day! Look who I ran across at the Iowa State Fair! 0ur son Trent! He had gone early with his wife and friends. We hung out together and did a round trip ride on the sky lift tram before heading home.
