VIEWS OF A FARM BOY

REIMAN GARDENS--2022

AUGUST--2022

RETURN TO HOMEPAGE>>>>>

My View for the Month: I have taken you to the Reiman Gardens for the summer art exhibit for many years. Each year is a different theme, but always something interesting and creative. Of course there is often a life lesson here. This year was no exception. The artist used throw away scraps to create sculptures of beauty for all of us to enjoy.

And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.. (ESV) (Genesis 2:8)

Each year I invite you to tag along with me as we explore the summer art exhibit at the Reiman Gardens in Ames. This year Minnesota artist,

Dale Lewis, repurposed scrap metal into objects of beauty. Let's take a look.

.

A silver (or "silverware") eagle.

Hungry? A spoon tree in this garden!

Empty propane tanks = a bouquet of balloons.

A saw blade shade tree

A school of fish--learning to fly in the sky.

A wire rooster! Does he crow at 4AM?

Do pigs really fly? This guy does.

No wrinkles-!roning board wings.

Tarantula--Not in my attic!

I live in  a cacti garden.

I ride a Harley & carry my own wrenches!

This is Ragbrai week. Which bike shall I ride?
