Views of a Farm Boy--Dedicated to promote Iowa agriculture and Iowa values--Robert Vaughn--Urbandale, Iowa  EMAIL:   vaughnrobert@me.com

The pics on top, sides, and bottom above were from the fall festival called CORNival, held September 23, in Altoona, Iowa. HOW IOWA is that! This special event marked the 100th anniversary of the first hybrid seed corn harvested in the United States. The location  was right here on this very site. When the festival closes, these statues will go on display at various locations throughout Altoona. Now, for the center pics--this is where the rubber hits the road (or where the farm equipment hits the field.) I wasn't there for the harvest. Photography credit goes to Eric O'Connell and family (O'Connell Family Farms) at Anthon, Iowa. Now--here is My View for the Month: I am so thankful for the Iowa (and American) farmers for their huge investment of time and money to feed a hungry world!!, HOW IOWA is that!!!

Now he who supplies the seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion and through us your generosity will result  in thanksgiving to God. (NIV) (2 Corinthians 9: 10,11)
