I traveled to a number of Iowa counties this summer. The courthouses pictured above were not a destination, but rather frosting on the cake. I like to investigate some of the things that I think make Iowa great and the network of counties with their beautiful courthouses is just one of them. But there is much more than beautiful buildings here--a lot of good Iowa people are employed to serve the legal and practical needs for their county.
As I travel to Iowa towns, I cannot resist a stop at Iowa Courthouses. I like the variety of architectural styles and the beauty of the buildings--outside and inside.
