VIEWS OF A FARM BOY

DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS--They're Already Stuffed

My view for the month. As we exited Cabala's, I turned around and took one more look at this beautiful wildlife display (left). I do not hunt or fish and I do not own a gun--but I most certainly support Second Amendent rights for those who do.

RETURN TO HOMEPAGE>>>>>>>>>

Cabela’s is a  a major player in hunting, fishing and outdoor merchandise. There are many retail stores throughout the United States, but I am going to take you to the place where it all started in 1961--Sydney, Nebraska. I am sure many of you have visited a Cabela’s and enjoyed the beautiful and impressive taxidermied wildlife displays.  I have seen them many times, but I never get sick of them so I thought I should take you on a little wildlife adventure.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: " I myself will take a shoot from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain. On the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches. All the trees of the field will know that I the Lord bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I the Lord have spoken and I will do it."  (NIV) (Ezekiel 17: 22-24)
