FARM PROGRESS SHOW--2016

The Farm Progress Show alternates every other year between Iowa and Illinois. This year it was at Boone, Iowa, August 30,31 & September 01, 2016.

Farmers start the day early. The gates open at 8 AM and we want to see these new machines.

New this year--You can download an app--but why bother--the map is painted on the street.

When I ws young there was alwys a little friendly rivalry--RED or GREEN--That sorta equates to today's Cyclone or Hawkeye loyalities.

The big guys in action. This ls one of my favorite things at the Farm Progress Show. I like to go to the fields and see all of the combines in action as they harvest the corn.

The Farm Progress Show is the world's largest outdoor farm show. This show used to be held at different locations each time it was in Iowa. Then in 2008 a permanent show site known as the Central Iowa Expo was developed just east of Boone, Iowa. It has an exhibit area of 85 acres with an additional 300 acres for field demonstrations. I go every year the Farm Progress Show comes to Iowa. I like to see the changes in technology and all of the new farm equipment--all in one place.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
