You may have read "A Walk in the Woods" by Iowa born author, Bill Bryson. This New York Times best seller book recounts Bill's 2000 mile adventures of hiking the Appalachian Trail (1996). Today, October 09, 2020, I took a "WALK IN THE WOODS" at Ledges State Park near Boone, Iowa. My hike was a little shorter--maybe about 2 miles. There is one thing missing--I need a hiking partner--so come walk with me!

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. (ESV) (Isaiah 40: 8)

WALK IN THE WOODS

RETURN TO HOMEPAGE>>>>>>>>

NOVEMBER--2020

The Ledges State Park is just a few miles south of Boone, Iowa. I always walk the Stone Bridge over Pea Creek, but mostly I enjoy the trails. The walking paths take you through a combo of oak, hickory, maple, basswood and other trees. The autumn leaf colors blend together to make this entire area one of natures masterpieces of art. Fall in the Ledges is always special, but this year's weather pattern made it spectacular.  Thanks for joining me for a  "WALK IN THE WOODS"
