My View for the month: Not too many years ago I thought a 50 mile bike ride was a good way to spend the day. On my no-bike days I thought nothing of going on a 5 or 6 mile run before breakfast. Things change with time and age. I have always been a big proponent of lifetime sports and physical activity. I am thankful that I can still ride my indoors bike during winter months. But, on nice weather days I still enjoy outdoors activities. So today I am going to ask you to accompany me on my morning walk, but I have new limitations. I have discovered a two mile walk is about my maximum. My Arizona mountain hike buddy used to tell me, "Never hike out farther than you know you can hike back." Those are true words of wisdom, so my morning walk now consists of ONE MILE OUT (and one mile back.) I used to think speed was part of the program so my physical activities were hard and fast. Not now! I make lots of stops and take time to enjoy things along the way. I have always been a creature of habit so I took the same route more times than not. This year, each time I step out my front door, I decide if I am going to go North, South, West or East. Each day I look for new things along the way and I am sharing just a few of them with you. But my gratitude goes way beyond just today. Thanks for hanging out with me these past years as we have walked so many paths of life (by way of Views of a Farm Boy) together!

OCTOBER--2025
ONE MILE OUT
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God. (ESV) (Micah 6: 8)

This has been a pretty much stay at home month for me so I don't have many outings to share with you. But I am going to ask you to accompany me on my morning walks. We will start at our house and go a different direction each day.
