Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also complete it. Then you willl know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you." (ESV) (Zechariah 4:8,9).

NEW HOME ON THE BLOCK!  Above: During the Des Moines Art Festival, this beautiful new Habitat for Humanity home was constructed "on blocks" at 12th and Locust in Downtown Des Moines. But don't despair--it won't stay there. The Festival wraps up tonight (June 27, 2021) and this home will be moved to the 1700 block of Clark Street.

Above left: The basement has been dug and the foundation is in place.

Today (June 28, 2021) the new building has arrived at the 1700 block of Clark Street, Des Moines, Iowa. It willl soon be removed from the building-transport blocks and it will be the NEW HOME ON THE BLOCK

The Habitat for Humanity does so many good things. This home building project was a wonderful addition for the Des Moines Art Festival-2021. In fact, I think this home in itself is a beautiful work of art and a compliment to the community. A very deserving family has already been chosen for the NEW HOME ON THE BLOCK. Now- doesn't this last sentance give this story a very happy ending?
