"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,

What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,

O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?

And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;

O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (ESV) (2 Corinthians 3:17)

As we observe and thank God for our freedoms, let's also acknowledge our police, firefighters, paramedics, first responders, health care providers and many others who have dedicated their lives to protect ours and provide us with a better quality of life.
