My View for the Month: I start each morning with coffee and quiet time. Then I go straight for the weather! How else would I plan my day? Surely you wouldn't expect me to think about tomorrow the night before--I'm retired. That is not a decision I make on my own. I depend on WHO Channel 13 meteorologist Jeriann Ritter. You know one of the things I like about Jeriann--her cheerful smile always makes you feel happy--even before you hear her weather forecast. She uses a unique numerical rating system (1-10 with 10 best) to help you plan your day. She basis her decision on a lot of factors, such as wind, rain, temperature, etc. She says she doesn't give out 10's like candy at a parade--but this has been a beautiful late summer and fall. Jerianne has dished out a lot of 10 days and I have taken advantage of them. I hope you have enjoyed my October adventures.

I wote this story, Saturday, October 17, and here it is Monday morning, October 19. Jeriann gave today a "1". But look--she did it with a smile on her face--that makes it a good day already! I think we can all agree 2020 has been a challenging year--yet somehow we know God is still in control and it will all work out according to His plan. If we believe that--even through the storms of life--we can do a one-up on Jeriann and give EVERY DAY a 10.
